Travel Tips

HINTS TO LOCATE GOOD AIRFARES:
--Can you be flexible with your fly date? If you can have a couple different days that would be good for travel, you have more of an opportunity to find a better rate.

--Start checking flight options early. Book early. Some flights have a limited number of seats. Booking early gives a maximum selection of fare and seating options.

--Willing to stay overnight? If you’re willing to go one day early or stay one more night—you may get into a lower fare.

BEFORE BOARDING THE AIRPLANE:
--Especially if traveling with children—use the restroom before boarding. If your flight is over two hours long, that cup of coffee is going to start talking to you before the children begin asking to go potty.

--Have you heard this? “Air recirculated on a flight makes you sick” This statement doesn't appear to have any published scientific proof, but since airplanes recirculate air already in the cabin instead of bringing in fresh air, you are going to be exposed to germs from the person sneezing 10 rows ahead. (Note: we could also be exposed by touching the handle of the grocery cart that same person sneezed on if they were five minutes ahead of us at the grocery store).

--Long distance travelers, listen up! If you want to sleep or have uninterrupted time of silence on your trip, a good purchase is the BOSE QuietComfort 2 headphones. A friend had a tech problem the second time he used his unit. BOSE was quick to take care of it to his satisfaction. Great product and superior product support.
